Welcome

What to wear

A lot of people ask "what should I wear?" so here is the answer to that question. Wear white as sparingly as possible because white seems to wash out a photo. Try to use solid colors without a lot of wording or busy patterns because these can draw the eye away from the main subject of the photo. When I say busy patterns I do not include stripes or polka dots, I have found that they photograph particularly well and add a little attitude to the photo.

Newborns/infants: I prefer to take a more artistic turn with the newborns, with that said, you should always dress them in something comfortable and breathable. I have many props, blankets, hats, etc for these sessions so there is no need to bring any of those unless it has a special meaning. The best time to schedule a newborn session is before you have the baby or you can even call me from the hospital, the younger the newborn is the more apt they are to sleep throughout the session. They are also still used to being in the womb so I am able to position them in more settings.

Toddlers/Children: Bright solid colors and I love, love, love layers. You can bring more than one outfit for any session. Tutus, legwarmers or rainboots if you have them for the girls is also a great choice. For boys anything fresh and hip at the moment that is loose enough for them to do their thing. All children's clothing should be comfortable to the child, if it is not the discomfort will show through the photos.

HS Seniors/adults: Please bring anything of importance to you letter jackets, guitars, even break down your drumset and bring it along. Anything that you would like photographed with you. Bright bold colors of clothing. If you bring dress clothes please bring casual also, show all sides of your personality. We can even pause for you to rearrange your hair, jewelry, etc.

Family: I can't stress solid colors enough for this one. No patterns if at all possible. You do not all have to dress alike, please express the different tastes and personalities of your family in your clothing. You can also bring anything the family would like to use such as scarves, hats, sunglasses, etc
